HISTORY

In April 2, 1977, the Negros Oriental II Electric Cooperative was organized pursuant to the Rural Electrification program of the Philippine government under R.A. 6038, as further amended by PD 269. In June 22, 1977, NORECO II was granted its Certificate of Franchise from the National Electrification Commission (NEC) with certificate no. T-039.

Noreco II is the acronym of Negros Oriental II Electric Cooperative ,  an electric cooperative  duly  registered with the Cooperative  Development  Authority (CDA)  since February 27, 1996 (Reg. No. QC-1482) and  wholly owned by member-subscribers.
